I've found significant amounts of dihydrogen monoxide on my tomatoes - is it dangerous?

You should be OK provided you're not a sodium-metal based lifeform or otherwise easily hydrolysed.
The dihydrogen monoxide can be removed by putting the tomatoes into a clothes drier on "hot," always being careful to use a dryer that you have no further need of.
