What to do with privet trimmings ?

Finally got the jungle that is my hedge hacked back to within an Inch of its life! Dull of good intentions to shred it all to use as mulch but soon got bored of unblocking shredder, so dumped some big armfuls under hedge as a lazy mulch. It will break down eventually !

But what do I do with the rest ? It about fills a ton builders bag so is sat on top of compost bins right now taunting me.

Any suggestions ? Recipes for privet wine would be good if unexpected. Currently thinking of ignoring it for a while till leaves are broken down then chipping stems. Got places I can put a rough mulch at least!

I leave my privet trimmings in the black plastic sacks that I gather them into and they soon turn into lovely compost (they shrink down very quickly), the twiggy parts are soon removed at the finish.

Yep they work nicely in a compost heap too amongst all the green stuff as they act as more of a brown offering. And they do rot down reasonably quickly.
