Chanterelles?

Hi,

Came across these in Conifer woodland today.

Have read up on loads of different sources on telling the difference between fake chanterelles and the real thing, But have decided not to eat these.

They don't seem to have much of an 'apricot' scent, and i'm worried they are too orange.

Any thoughts?

It would be a shame to throw them away because these are definately chanterelles. I can't smell and apricot scent with cahenterelles either. I had some for my dinner this evening.

They totally look like the real deal to me, but I'd always want to smell them to be sure. I do find they're a bit apricoty - not strong, but it's definitely there.
