Fruit Leathers

Has anyone a recipe for fruit (particularly Plum) leathers?

No one has come to scrump my plums and there is heavy weather forecast for the weekend so I know they will all be washed off onto the path/pavement and get wasted if I don't do something quick.
Granddaughter was thrilled to eat them off the tree (and white strawberries from the back yard) but I couldn't get her Ma and Pa to take some home.

Am thinking leathers as it doesn't need jars or freezer space

From Martin Crawford's book, I have tasted these and they are really nice.

Lightly cook if fruit is firm.
Destone
Liquidise
You can thicken with ground nuts, or oatmeal etc is to runny.
Spread on a flexible non stick baking sheet and keep it at 55c fr 24 hours, may need turning in last couple of hours.

Jan.
Don't do what I did and forget to oil the baking tray or foil before you pour on the liquid , otherwise its a bit of a waste of time. I have only used the River cottage recipe for apple and blackberry leathers but they are fab. We are all loving the white strawberries that you gave us, thank you.

 Nikki, Granddaughter finished the Rhubarb jam last weekend on her cheese sandwich (and it was YUMMY mixed with plain goat yoghurt too)

I don't have a 55c setting on the oven :(
