Ok so the new house is stretching us to r financial limits! We have worked out that rent and rates split up over 365 days is £21 and some odd pence so we figure if we can focus on getting £22 a day then we will be laughing.Any ideas how to achieve this? Xx

If it helps, there is a thread on money saving expert that challenges people to make £10 a day. You might get some ideas from that.

Sell 132 eggs a day at £1 for 6?!
Dogwalk...£5 a day per dog (5 dogs)
Raise and sell perennials on Ebay?
Or a combination of the two?
I am not much of an entrapreneur I am afraid. But breaking it down to that sum a day is a good way of looking at it and seems much more attinable.
I know someone who raises herb plants in their polytunnel and sells them at a farmers market. They make about £150 per market once a week - that is 7 days worth of £22?

What skills do you have? Are you able/willing to spend money to make money?
No project that will bring in that sort of money regularly is likely to be instantly successfull so you might need a back-up plan for the first few weeks/months while other projects are building up steam
Have a look around your house -- do you have any unwanted clutter that would be worth ebaying?
Can you knit/sew? Do you have a stash of yarn/material that you can make up into items for selling on Etsy, Folksy, at craft fairs etc?
Are you brilliant at baking? make fantastic jams & chutneys? Can you come up with a different product to sell at farmers markets? (though you would need to spend money on a food hygiene course and get your kitchen registered before you could do this

Do you know how to take the 'red' out of red diesel, I've heard there is a local hole in the market.

Do you live near a university? If so, university psychology departments often allow people (Students and members of the public) to sign up to take part in psychology experiments that can take the form of anything from a simple questionnaire to full on electrodes-on-the-head-look-at-these-pictures-press-this-button malarkey... My girlfriend made £20 today from just three experiments (2 and a half hours' worth).
Good luck!

Hey Mrs H, I'm a Mrs H too!! We make money by selling herbs as sugested above, but we also buy olive oil in bulk and flavour it with the home grown oils, chilli or garlic. There's a bottle supplier in Sandyford, s. Dublin who do deliver, they're caled Alpack Packaging.
We go to various car boot sales and markets and have never made a loss. We are currently making 'christmas' chutneys and pickles to box up for christmas markets.
My husband makes bird boxes, bug boxes, seed trays, trugs and log boxes from pallets and we sell them too. Its amazing what yo can turn your hand to if needed, good luck!!

£22 a day? That's like half a days work at most.
Here's one of the
£10 a day MSE threads previously mentioned... for inspiration.
Best of luck!

Some great ideas, I am definitely going to crochet some items to sell on folksy or at markets and get my husband onto making bird boxes to sell!
I love the idea about flavouring the oil and re-bottling it to sell (or just give as cheap Christmas presents!) - do you need legal hygiene certifications for selling it?

Clinical trials of new medicines sometimes come along too, and these can be quite lucrative, though not without risk. "Trading" on ebay can make a few quid - buying job lots from carboots or auctions and breaking them up for sale as individual lots. But it's time consuming.
