Well been away for the weekend and all my lovely red currants have gone .... well I sat and ate the remaining ones .. the birds have had a feast ... I am not complaining as I encourage the birds .. buts goodness me they have gone mad with their stripping of my fruit ... good job I am a peace loving gal .. well sometimes ...

they've had all our redcurrants too - but we let them - not that bothered by redcurrants here.
we have had so much trouble with birds this year.. had to net al sorts.. they ripped open the broad beans, until we netted them... the peas are undercover too, and now we have netted the raspberries.. getting a huge crop.
they can have the redcurrants!

That's a shame, I half wish birds would eat mine

- no not really but picking and prepping them is one of the most laborious tedious jobs there is. Perhaps when they have finally finished off the cherries they may make a start?
