Rhubarb to control blackfly.

Hello,

An old chap on the allotment told me about this the other day so I thought I'd pass it on. When you trim the rhubarb leaves off the stems drop the leaves in a bucket of water. Leave the leaf and water mix till the leaves have rotted and you have slime left. If there are any chunks left seive them out. Spray the water on to any plants effected by blackfly. The blackfly will die.

Over and out,

QB

I am pretty sure that tip is in the ish bible book  Never tried it yet though, we don't tend to get black fly and the green fly love the beech hedges so much that I just leave them too it.

I mostly use my rhubarb leaves for mulch.
