Hello everyone I'm sort of advertising so if it's not allowed sorry
But also introducing us: we're self sufficientish and it's been over three years since I went to Ikea.
We're llama farmers trying to establish eco friendly walking holidays based around fantastic home grown food and incredible scenery. We live in a very run down unpopular but wonderfully beautiful area of France......um but it rains a lot.......umm but when it's not raining it's sunny and this means we can grow the most fantastic food.
I think the people who read this forum would love our holidays...if our website seems quite bland it's because we're also trying to attract people who may be put off if we're too 'yogurt weaving' I hope I'll get em here get em fed and walked and that way converted to SLOWING DOWN A BIT
We live in an area that has sort of lost it's way and are just trying to persuade people to visit here............there are so many wonderful local producers and self sufficientish has been the way of life here for centuries.
It's not on our website because I haven't had the time but we really would like to encourage people to come here by methods other than plane so we'll always pick these people up from the local station........it's a great train journey (almost a holiday in itself) and a pain by bus but dead cheap :(
Hope I've not done anything wrong by posting like this...........

ooh you're in the languedoc region!!?

i've been meaning to visit that area for quite some time, as i have a keen interest in the cathars.

hmmm - would you consider a person doing some wild camping on your land (woodland) at a cost ofcourse?

Hi Grahoom
So glad I'm not being shouted down for blatent advertising.......really not sure wether I should or not, but for us if we don't make some money this year we're doomed. It's a long story but to keep it short registering as llama farmers in an obscure region of France takes forever and all that time you have to feed your animals and pay your dues. I feel good about the fact we waited until we were legal before we stared to operate....each to his own............
Yes this is Cathar city loads of castles not too far away a big interest for us too. Camping yes we can do that also can do a whole camp hire (tent bedding etc) if you don't want to carry your kit and also meals, good home cooked grown here stuff with a wee bit of wine thrown in..........so are you coming?

(me camping)

i am off to the isle of raasay, just off the isle of skye, in a few weeks - for a little holiday, camping and cycling mainly..

but i was planning on another holiday at end of august.. and hadn't quite decided where i wanted to go, and well - as said wanted to check out your area due to my interest in cathars.. so this could very much have helped me make my mind up!

i'll email you about it!

Great website! And great area... I worked in France for half a year (back in 1987  ), not so very far away from where you are, other side of Toulouse. Check this out (they've become a lot bigger since when I was there!)

Humm can't get your pic to download properly...French broadband a new and technological advance that doesn't work properly without cycle power so as i'm sitting here nursing a glass of wine it's not going to work......from what I'm seeing you are a bloke in a snowy wood sans tent...hey mate you missed heaven should have been here in January when it snowed a bit and the pylons fell over and we were cut off from civilisation for a week....August will be really tame for you....actually October is parfait beautiful wodland nippy nights and long sunny days. August hot hot hot dry dry dry...but the tail end maybe storms and the nights change..........I love my environment
CHEESE!!!!!!!!!!! goat, cow ,sheep all of them just super..........but can't find hallumi (sp?) here WHY!
