Who have you met?
Following up on Mr flibble post about having visits from here I wondered who has met whom?
Millymollymandy, red and their other halfs came round for lunch about a year ago. Wulf I met in London and in Bristol, We also had Nev (wombat) and Linda staying for a few nights. Mr Headstrong I have met a few times now in various places from here to Scotland. Thomozo I've met twice I think (is that right?), I've been to stonehead croft, Shirley's house when she lived in Aberdeenshire (and who else was there shirlz?), Ina's house I've been to too and we stayed up and drank far too much (or just enough), and fee fairy and her sister have been some of my parties, Milms (helen and Chris) been to their house, Sleepowl had me talk to the lgtg pagan society of Birmingham which was great fun, Tracey Smith came to Bath, then a few folk I met randomly like hamster, Muddypause and hedgewizard came to the bible book launch. I think thats it..........
Oh and my mum and sister and one of my sisters mates have all posted on here from time to time. Nope hang on some people too I've met on wild food walks and book events. Acutally, as I type I am thinking over the 6 years this forum has been going for I can't help but think there are many, many more people and some perhaps rather obvious that I've met and somehow at this moment in time just forgotten! Please don't take it personally if I haven't listed you, I blame writing a book about home brewing on my memory lapse:) I had to return to that list a few times saying out loud "oh yeah how could I forget ...)
So quite a few of you really and really made some long term friends - But who else has met people on here? Anyone else made long term friends? Any couples met on here?

Re: Who have you met?
Being in France it's not so easy for Ish meet ups - but then I suppose the same could be said for all of you as we are all over the globe.
My first Ish meet up was Green Rosie up in Normandy, OK she is a bit more of a Downsizer than an Isher but I met her here on Ish. Then that meet up with you and Dave and Red.
Then this April I met Oldfella (Eddy) and his other half and we stayed the night with them whilst we were on hols down there.
That's not very many and I guess my nearest Isher other than Green Rosie is Mrs Moustoir, but even she is probably about 1.5 hours away from me - Brittany is the size of Wales.
One of these days I will make it to a Wiltshire Ish meet up as I'm jealous of their regular get togethers!
I would like to add that meeting Ishers - my what a difference, Ishers really want to show you round their plots/gardens/allotments/renovations and have great pride in them - I am exactly the same and am always disappointed with visitors who DON'T seem to give two hoots about my garden and have no interest in the guided tour, even if they do grow some veg themselves . So three cheers for Ishers.

Re: Who have you met?
no one
(feel sorry for me please )
Perhaps that illustrates how having a young family seriously dents your ability to have a rockin' social life??!!

We've not met any other Orkney-ishers and after giving out an invite to PM us nobody has, seems they want to be anonymous .

Re: Who have you met?
Can't quite remember which ones are Ishers, and which are NEEPS...
BUT: Andy and the Wombats, that famous 60s band (but not together!), Shirley, Stonehead, Annpan, Baldowrie - and a few who are probably also Ishers, but mostly NEEPS, like Cassiepod, Diane, Kimmie... Plus various OHs.
Spider8 - if I ever make it to Orkney (it's on my list of places to visit), I'll let you know well in advance, so you can get the kettle on! And if you happen to be in Aberdeenshire, let us know!

I think I'm the only isher on here from Northern Ireland!!! I love this forum and after only a short while on here feel like I've made friends already!! It was great to hav a rant about my inlaws at the weekend and the replies really perked me up not to mention all the great advice so far.
Southeast isher you live on our old stomping ground!! We lived in Kent for 7 yrs and then West Sussex/Surrey boarder for 2 yrs. Should my dream of moving back home ever materialise you can stick the kettle on!! X

We've met Mr & Mrs Headstrong and AnnPan.
Anyone else in the locality? We're in West Lothian, nice and central! ;-)
Would definitely like to meet more Ishers.
