Introducing new chickens

Hi All

Off to get some new ladies in the morning to join our three :iconbiggrin: .

Can anyone give me some advice on how to introducethe new ones to the others please?

:wave: we always put our new birds in the coupe at night so when you let them out in the morning their first thought is to feed, you may well still get a bit of squabling but thats the norm.

Agreed,we always introduce last thing,then just keep an eye open.

There have been a few discussions on this on ish. As said previously, putting new birds in as it is getting dark is the easiest way, but regardless of what you do they will fight for a day or two until a new pecking order is established. It's not very plesant to watch, but there's little you can do to avoid it. It will settle down in a day or two. Best to leave them to it!
