I just found this tutorial on how to turn a pillowcase into a dress or top for a girl. I am halfway (handsewing) and it is easy! We picked up a pillowcase, a lovely vintage one, for 25p from our Sally army shop. Thought others might like a go.

That is really nice and such a good idea...now all I need is a girl!! The three sons would look silly in it!! Especially as they are grown up now!

i made a top for my little girl this way, and used the offcuts to embellish jeans lol.

there's a few variations on patterns like this. They're great aren't they? I find they make my smallest a nice dress and the Tallest a top, with as little sewing as possible!
