I've just seen my first ladybird of the year. It's yellow with black spots. I can't ever remember them being so sparse. Is it the same everywhere ?

No problem in London, but I think we have a surfeit of nature in London, we seem to have many more pests, squirrels, pigeons, magpies, foxes, etc in town than in the country, so is only right that we have plenty of the beneficial ones.

We've had loads of them here in contrast to previous years. They're eating the greenfly on my sweetpeas at the moment.

Nice to see them back.

Same as Mrs M, there's been a complete invasion of them, just when they were most needed! First time I've ever seen more than just a few here and there.

Hardly any here in my bit of Devon (sob). Have had to resort to icky squishing of the greens with a thumbnail.
Did anyone else used to believe that those yellow ones were poisonous? Just my school then?!
