have nearly 2lb of wild cherries probably more to come when i sort out a 'branch pully thing' ( stick with a hook on the end to pull the branches down!)

ive looked through mrs beetons books and cant really find a recipe i like.

have 6 large cooking apples and was wondering if cherry and apple work well together?
any one tried cherry and apple jam or know of a good recipe?

the method i use when making jam with out recipe is to use equal wieghts of sugar and fruit
as for cherry and apple jam i dont think the apple will affect the flavour to much but it will help the setting
