I have had two eggs in one day from the same bird, she didn't lay the next day. I posted here, and someone (Julie??) said that she had also had the same.
We use Verm -X too.

Yep, yep - it IS possible for them to have 2 eggs in one day - depends on how fast their little shell makers are working

I guess it's hard to imagine how the innards of a chicken works - unless you do what I did & decide to cull one for dinner & give the granddaughter a lesson in chicken processing! When you clean a hen, you can literally line the egg yolks up & see how they form - we had about 28 yolks ranging from a full size yolk (and the hen in question had laid an egg one hour before) right down to teeny tiny little yolks smaller than my little fingernail. Fascinating stuff!!
As for worming - I use Verm-X as well but I have Flubenvet in the cupboard too. I also give them finely chopped garlic every so often with their boiled peelings/cabbage leaves etc - and so far, so good!
