Fifteen Everbearing Strawberry plants were placed in the garden. The plants were very healthy in appearance and in individual pots. The are selected was where I have horseradish planted, which will be removed in the Fall. The plants were set at the same depth as in the pots, which is insuring the top of the plant is basically exposed. The area was mulched with bedding softwood wood chips.
Last year Alpine strawberry plants were attempted, but the berries are too small, and the plants appear to be growing slowly this year so I will abandon them.
