Hen not laying.

One of my four ladies is driving me nuts. She only lays once or twice a week, the other lay everyday. She eats the same food and is not getting pushed out, there is anyways plenty to go around.
She seems to be well and is perky, she is eatting and drink.

Does anyone have any ideas please?

Thanks Nikki

What breed is she? Some aren't as productive as others. If she seems otherwise healthy then it may be that she's still a little bit young.

Hi Zoe.

Its Orin's chcken, she is a Amberlink. I am hoping that your right she should be about 29/30 weeks old. I will give her a bit more time before I get too cross with her then.

Feeding scraps can reduce egg production as well. If she doesn't step up production soon, then stop the treats and just feed the layers mix for a while. See if that helps.

Yes, the layers formula is specially designed for optimum egg production. Anything else just dilutes it. Greens do helptheir general wellbeing though so I would keep up the grass and a small amount of green leaves each day but only a handful.
