I just tried this and don't know how to do it here either. Have a feeling that the photo already has to be online somewhere (other than on your computer) but don't know.
Perhaps a techy person will come along and help.

In the meantime I highly recommend you start a blog. It's incredibly easy to upload photos and chart your progress. Like most things internety though it's addictive.

Also I want to save my photos somehow because my computer is not too well. I can't seem to figure out how to get them onto a memory stick so hopefully putting them online will be saving them? Does anyone know, if I lost my own files, would I be able to retrieve them from online photo sites or blogs?

Cheers

You can use www.Tinypic.com to upload pictures quickly and easily. And then as soon as uploaded cut and paste the link into the forum using the 'Img' html codes above.

It's a quick and simple way but not sure how long you can guarantee they'll stay uploaded. Or you can use Flickr for more long term uploading of photos.

Save to a memory stick SSG if you can! You can pick up Sandisk micro skin 8GB ones on Play.com for about £11.49 which is cheaper than the supermarkets and they are built better... :study:

If you use photo bucket when you upload the photo there is an option to edit it. Click on that option and choose the resize button. If you then choose the preset sizes and click on either medium or large. Then click on apply and save a copy or or you can overwrite the original.

Scroll down and to the left of the picture you will see a set of adresses. Right click the one beginning IMG. You just have to paste it straight to you message then.

Sounds complicated but once you've got the hang of it its not too hard. It still took me over a year to figure it out mind you.

It's very easy to upload a photo here on this forum from your hard disk, but you need to reduce the size of your photo or it won't do it. To show a photo on the actual posting, rather than as a link, it must be 700 pixels wide or less.
