Revenge is sweet!

My kids (early teens) have just come back from spending 3 days with grandparents. Here is a summary of their comments regarding their stay:-
Nana and Granda-
bicker constantly
watch really bad telly
don't say please and thank you
can be grumpy
talk over people and
don't listen to anyone elses views!
My kids have been really happy to be home, have been good company and helpful this evening - perhaps I should send them more often!

My MIL always used to say that I was too strict, yet in the next breath would say how well behaved my daughter was (is) and how she could take her anywhere and know she was going to behave well.

lol, i got the same comments from my own mum hahaha! in one conversation telling me to calm down and stop being so strict, in the next saying how sophie's so good she can be taken anywhere (even rally posh restaurants)

As a young lad, I always respected those adults who were strict.
I may have enjoyed the freedom of those who weren't strict,
But in the end, I generally didn't respect them.

sounds like the average teen behaviour to me! do you think we'll all regress when we are older
That's what I thought too - I think perhaps they have regressed!
I did say to my kids "now you know what it's like for us living with you two!" lol!
