New ladies

Yeah, we have just reserved 6 ex-battery hens to be collected next weekend. Kids are really excited [fortunately dogs dont understand yet]
Shed and run will be moved/reorganised/tidied/built this weekend and into next week, kids are on half term so they can get involved too. Need to order some ex-bat feed, a drinking water thingy and anything else. Got a book reserved at the library.
Any advice or tips ? Helpful hints ? No idea if they are laying at the moment, they are 18 months old.
