Dog Biscuit Recipes Needed, Please

(Not sure if this is the right place for this thread, so if any Mods want to move it, I shan't mind a bit, ta)
Does anyone have a recipe for dog biscuits, please? Either the occasional treat type, or the every day mixer type, as I need both.
Also, how the heck do I work out the per centage of the protein? (If my two greyhounds have more than 20% of protein in their meals they start bouncying off the walls,

)

I've got a few recipes for treat-type biscuits.... will hunt them out tonight for you....
I keep the Boxers protein levels at 18%, but generally don't include their treats in that, as they are small compared to the rest of their food.
Have you thought about feeding raw? You need the right mix of muscle and organ meat etc, but dogs generally do very well on it.

Thank-you both for such promt replys.
Masco&bongo: I fed my little Lurcher raw, but greys have far too sensitive stomachs, it just goes straight through, FAST!

(Over-Share? Sorry!) Their food needs to be really bland.
Bonniegirl: brilliant site, now bookmarked!

Thanks

I was suggest that site too. For treats (I can't cope with working out the protein and carb levels for everyday

) I make up all sorts of variations based on her recipe. I often add dried nettle and I got handed a 'homemade' dog biscuit flyer and I make up their ideas to my own recipe, eg for a lively dog try adding banana and chamomile infusion; add something crunchy like bulgar wheat to help clean teeth; marmite and garlic powder if they're itching etc etc. Hours of entertainment

We have 2 lurchers (did have a greyhound too) and they regularly meet up with 1 greyhound and 2 other lurchers, plus occasionally a whippet and a whippet X, so extensively tested on long dogs!
They make good Xmas pressies for dog owners too- my children make some every year for just about every dog in the village....

for the treat type I used to make dog pastry with dripping from any meat I'd put by, wholemeal flour and some oatmeal, any leftover cheese etc press it into a baking tin and cut through like you would ravioli, cook as pastry.
