I'm happy to strip my old tumble dryer down to see if I can use bits, but I don't know what for

The outer shell would make a good compost container or a planter, but is it safe to use metal for this?

I was thinking the same, ours is dead and has been for about 3yrs ... it's motor goes but it just doesn't heat up.

I thought I could remove the barrel inside and use it as a fire pit kind of thing but it just isn't suitable and has plastic welded to it inside so that spoilt that plan.
I even got hubby to dismantle the door and take out the glass as I thought, where else are you going to get a piece of glass quite like that!
I was going to use it for something arty but it turned out to be plastic so I turned my nose up at it lol.
Our refuse centre take white goods for free so I imagine we'll just have to end up taking it there to be recycled
