Scaly brown tomatoes?

Post: # 164735Post damekiri »

My partner and I are growing tomatoes for the first time. We bought tiny plants and grew them from that in a growbag in a plastic walk-in greenhouse. We've been feeding them with seaweed fertiliser weekly and watering them daily. We got a couple of tomatoes (literally, 2) ripen, but by the time those ripened they were eaten by something, presumably a slug we had missed (we've been removing any we saw). Then another couple ripened and split almost immediately, on the same truss one started to go red but then went scaly and brown, and one of the green ones just went entirely scaly and brown. I didn't think to take a photo (d'oh!) when I took them off and disposed of them, but if we've not discovered what's wrong before it happens again, I'll take a photo next time. Anyone have any ideas as to what it could be?

Oh really? It said in his book to water them daily and feed them weekly when they started fruiting... I shall try every other day and see what happens... :)
Thanks for your suggestions! I'll let you know how we get on!
