fishing and rabbiting

Well at 4am this morning i awoke with all the enthusiasum you do befor a fishing trip, "its mackerel season" i just love fresh mackerel so i sat wiggling my feathers for 3 hours ............ :shock: and not a sniff so i decided to go rabbiting and low and behold 4 lovely conies for the pot, so it was'nt a wasted day, i'll give the mackerel a try again on tuesday night i really fancy it freshly barbequed, and hopefully over the next few days if i can catch enough i want to make some gravalax with the mackerel, i saw the recipie in HFW book looks great, well i'm off to bed for a couple of hours to catch up :happy4:

Hi frozenthunderbolt
being an old forrester i still have friends with access to land and they allow me to shoot freely, i still tell thm when i'm going to be there just to check as i don't want to interfere with any paying customers that they may have. if there are really busy i do some beating for them, i really don't like shooting as a sport but i'm a firm beliver of shooting or hunting for food and only taking what you need.
