Hi shell.
I wanted to grow some gorse at our last house to help keep the neighbouring kids off our lawn - anyway.........I'd been told by shrub growers that gorse is really hard to grow from cuttings and root and takes a long time from seed. In the end I found a place that sold gorse (I'm not very patient, got them at about 50cm high) in south Yorkshire (sorry!). I bought 4 plants and two of them died but the other two grew lovely and big, nice and prickly. Sorry I can't be of help, just thought I'd tell you how I got on.

yes,saw some little plants in a garden centre in cork,8 euro`s each!!! and i`m not paying that, especially as neighbours of mine think i`m crazy to plant them anyway as they have tried to rid themselves of theirs, sadly their gorse bushes are to big to dig up and replant
and i want at least 5,now i`m thinking about going up to the mountains and finding some smaller plants and digging them up,armed with a garden fork and shovel
