Don't tell master luvpie, but whilst he was playing with mr luvpies newtons cradle (hey it only took 30 minutes to untangle it!) I snuck into the garden and have just had the first 5 redcurrants, and they tasted devine!!!!

I do believe that they are the nicest fruit ever, and the first ones off of my little bush, thats been stuck in the corner and forgotten about are my treat, especially sweet this year as the eldest boys are at their dads, mr luvpie is at work and master luvpie is occupied so I didn't have to share them with anyone (what a terribly selfish mother I am)

I've got my eye on a couple more that I think will be lovely and juicy tomorrow, must remember to check before anyone gets home

Eeks I can't eat mine off the bush as they are really sour! Even my blackcurrants which are supposed to be a sweet, edible straight off the bush variety aren't very nice either.

You guys must be well ahead of me here in Brittany cos mine are only just colouring up but won't be ready for picking for quite a while yet (thank god! what a horrible job). I've snuck a few blackcurrants off the bush though.

ha ha I sneaked the first strawberry, but I did share it with Trix. Now there are quite a few, so everyone can have a taste!! Yummy!!
