5 things for the week

I've got a day off today, and I've just made my weekly '5 things' list. I've just started doing this, as a family we're easing ourselves into the 'ish' lifestyle and I find it's a good thing to help me achieve my 'ish' goals.

1. Become acquainted with my local library - that will be this afternoon's outing
2. Find a small dining table and folding chairs for our living room that we have just cleared the junk from - we want a table to become the 'hub' of the room and finally have a space to eat as a family (OK this involves buying something but it does involve a big improvement to our family life in making it more communal)
3. Go to my dad's house and finally dig out my sewing machine from his garage - as I will finally have a table to work on!
4. Take my doggies for a nice long walk - I've been ill for the last 3 days and have not taken them out and I need some fresh air.
5. Get my beds weeded on the allotment

I like the idea of the post-it notes for the jobs to do, fortunately I am old enough to forget most of them!!! pbf.

FotW - why not try freecycle for your table?

I did try freecycle for a table, but the only one offered was much bigger than what our living room would fit!

The doggies went out on Friday, I got my table and folding chairs, and I've weeded the beds. I will be popping by the library on my way home from work tomorrow, and we christened the table by having my dad and his wife over for dinner - all in all a successful weekend!
