Just wondering if anybody knows how much I could expect to pay for a Gloucester Old Spot weaner in Ireland?
Hoping not to get ripped off.
After all it's not called rip off republic for nothing

Thanks,
Muir

Hi Siena,
You should be able to pick up a GOS for around 60 to 75 euros....

Whereabouts in Ireland are you? I'm up in north Galway/Roscommon area & we have the 'free-ads' paper The Dealer - in there the pigs are all around 65 euros-ish... If you're not in the area, but not too far away I could send you the phone numbers & the details of the ad?

Hi Julie,

I'm in Limerick so not all that far away. I just googled The Dealer there and found the online site for it. Thanks. We use the Buy and Sell mainly, another free adds paper, but there never seems to be much in the line of pigs in it or at least not pigs with any specific breed
There is someone within a half hour drive that might be willing to sell me two but I just wanted to have a ball park idea of price cause I have a feeling they might take me for a bit of a mug. (They wouldn't be too far wrong either  )

I'll have a look through The Dealer and see if I can't find some to compare with.

Thanks. It's nice to have a good few other people living in Ireland on the site. I won't have an excuse to blame the weather for any failing crops!
