Folksy is still in Beta testing so is quite small and quiet, but I thought there would be members here who like it - it has a makes section and a forum as well as a shop.
http://www.folksy.com/
It sells handmade items and supplies for craftsters - It is kind of a rival to Etsy, with the benefit that it is based in Britain.

looks great, Ann, I've signed up - hopefully I'll get a shop on there for some of my less Green Aura type stuff.
Although I must tell you all that I'm soon going to be the proud owner of a spiffy new website. Yes, Sal's come up trumps - wait til you see it!

I clicked on the box on the right which had a bag with "out with plastic".
I'd love a bag just like that - nice and big with no advertising!
Then I realised it wasn't an actual product

I'm about to make some shopping bags out of rescued and re-cycled fabric - do you reckon they'd sell?

I don't see why not, I'd buy them! Although there are a lot out there....... Mainly with advertising or pious (sp?) messages!

Thanks Annpan - I signed up too.
It would be interesting to know who the arts/crafts ishers are. I work from home and at times it would be nice to just ask a daft question of a like minded person - eg 'do you think this is ok?'
My OH is very good - but not very in to arts!

if I put messages on they are very unlikely to be pious

they also won't be the sort of prices Folksy folks seem to want - if I'm stuffing things in a tote/shopping bag I wouldn't want the bag to cost more than the budget
