Oops I just bought all the reduced nectarines!

Whilst forgetting to buy the baby formula milk I stumbled upon a load of apparently 'past their best' rasps. Decided against buying them... 4 gallons of cider, a gallon and a half of blackberry wine on the go and have just bottled the strawb wine... running out of space in the kitchen!
Went back to get the milk, thought I'd go pick up the rasps too. Someone else got there first, however, there were 6 punnets of nectarines... anyone got any good recipes??? Not a big fan of sweet wines, so if anyones had any success with a drier peach wine, would be very interested.
Cheers

Haven't been able to drink wine for nearly 2 years now, but I bet they'd make a great jam. Or slice and candy them.

I made gooseberry champagne once. I would advise using plastic "pop" bottles though: even glass designed for sparkling wines has its limits...

That sounds interesting, how did it turn out? Do you reckon it would easy enough to convert the recipe to suit peach?

It was pretty good! I'm not a great expert - I just follow recipes and there are planty of those on 'tinternet - but I can't see why it wouldn't work. It might need the addition of a bit of acid like lemon juice. The sparkling wines will throw a sediment because they a bottle fermented so you need to be a little careful pouring, but I'll do it again when I get organised.

Found a couple of recipes online this morning, unfortunately i don't have all the stuff and money is a bit tighter this month. Methinks a storecupboard concoction will be on the way

Right, manged to buy the cheapest nastiest vodka I could find, so am having a go at schnapps with some of them and decided to modify the ciderish recipe using nectarines instead of apples. It's blipping away nicely so will see how it turns out in a month or so!
