Cutting up fleece for nappy liners

I did this for DD's nappies, but my memory is failing me and I can't remember if I cut them to a specific shape or size. I have two lengths of fleece for the purpose and they will be for a newborn. If I cut them in a rectangle about 7" x 3" would that be about right? Would appreciate any input on this as I'm really hopeless with this sort of thing! I'm not intending to hem them or anything, didn't bother with DD's nappy liners and they were fine.

Thanks :bom:

7 x 3 sounds ok for a newborn. I only have experience of making them for a 2 year old (4" x 10" ish) so couldn't really help, but didnt want to read and run.

Thanks Mrs F. I'm in the process of throwing together my hospital bag so will probably cut a few today.

Hi
I'd cut them a bit bigger. You can fold them down or tuck them in for a new born. Saves having to cut more for a toddler!
If feeling adventurous you can round the ends but its not necessary!
Hope the birth went well!
