Hello all you wise and knowledgeable people.

Been lurking for a couple of weeks.

Live in Leeds in West Yorkshire. 1 teen, 2 dogs, 5 hens and a big back garden.

Started growing more veg and fruit for the slugs and snails around here in the wonderful claggy/brick hard clay.

Loads of questions to ask but will look at old posts first. Specially enjoy the 101 uses for blog!

hello Trace, glad i'm not the only one feeding the slugs,etc. For a while, we also had the largest collection of caterpillers in Norfolk! (bless 'em). Now,we've got squirrels burying acorns all over the lawn. In the summer,the deer helped themselves to the rose-buds, & the squirrels did the same with my apples.That was after the wood-pigeons had decided that the young cabbage seedlings were rather tasty! Oh, & the dogs got fleas. But at least we haven't got the dreaded clay soil! Good luck,you'll enjoy this site.
