I've been pushing myself. It's keeping me sane while I'm awaiting my new sewing machine.
Since learning to crochet (and read crochet patterns for that matter) I've been giving it a serious go.
It's fun, it stops me snacking while I'm watching TV at night, and it seems live the best almost instant gratification craft I could find!
This thing has taken about 15 or so hours work while watching TV, on the bus etc. Ok, not that instant but I get to see the results quickly as opposed to knitting which takes me so long I lose interest. The basic shape is a pattern from my head, but the frills came from a 1970s craft book hahaha!!!

my little model!!
hardly any sewing as I just kept crocheting pieces onto the ones I'd already done using chains etc. It's even crocheted together instead of sewn as I couldn't find my blunt wool needle.
Soph chose the buttons.
I'm trying to decide whether to leave it white, or to dye it a more sensible colour for a muck-magnet two year old hahaha!!!
