Hello Everyone

Can anyone give any help as to where i could find a manual
for a Hinari Homebake 164? , or is it possible to use one without
having the manual? Any tips/clues ?

I don't have that variety, but... I've found they're all pretty much of a muchness. The main difference in BM models is whether you put the water in first or last.

I had one (I forget the make but it had Antony Worrall Thompson's gurning face all over it for some reason). When that bust I got a Panasonic one. I still use AWT's recipes in the new one, even though that was a water first and this one is a water last model.

I've also found there are certain 'classic' recipes that seem to transport well across BMs. The main adjustment IMO is in the amount of water you put in.

Strangely enough, I was looking for a manual just a few days ago - and they're like rocking horse manure. But McGoohan's right - they're basically all the same. So much so that someone produced this ...

heres a recipe i use in my machine to great success
625g bread flour
1 3/4 cups of water
2 tea spoons of sugar
3 table spoons of butter/oil
1 1/2 tea spoons salt
1 1/2 tea spoons yeast

method -
put water and oil in
spoon flour on top
sprinkle sugar and salt
make dent in flour put yeast in
on my machine its setting 2(think thats the one for 2lb loaf)


i have great sucess with this but beloved messes it up every time says she can't do it and i make better bread (am i just being suckered)

If you are still looking for the manual for hinari hb164, i believe the cookworks breadmakers are exactly the same just licensed under a different name (poss even hinari cookworks not sure) i know where there is an equivalent to the hinari hb174 but not sure how different they are

I haven't used the manual for my machine since I got it. Just get yourself a good bread machine recipe book. Or search this site, there are several bread machine recipes around.
