This is just obscene http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/7443742.stm Is there really still a market for such poor taste and display of wealth.

Unfortunately yes. It makes me feel quite sick. I remember a few years back when my parent's neighbours were boasting they spent £12,000 refitting a bathroom. Oh what useful things could be done with such a sum! :(

 When I think of all the worthwhile things that could be done with that amount of money I feel slightly choked... :pale:

I don't know. What's wrong with you people? Someone designs a handy little bag and you're all up in arms. Think about the value of this thing. If you're ever stuck for a bit of cash to get home, you can just detach a diamond and proffer it to a taxi driver. In supermarkets, given the price of bacon, another detached diamond would work wonders. Two would be better. Of course, if you ever reached the point of running out of diamonds, you'd have a problem. But another bag like it would solve that.

I want ten of 'em. Hell - what's ten million quid?

I agree with Clara, you've gotta be a fool to pay that ammount of money for a bag?

I get annoyed if I hhve to pay a fortune for clothes or something actually needed (like food...) it's not even that attractive!!

Ofcourse it dfoes throw into the pot another question... how much are the shoes that go with it???

Unfortunately there has always been demand (not matter how small) for the ridiculous and inane, I mean fashionable and trendy.

I find this less irritating than the Roach Brooches though. At least it's all inert!

But it is very pretty and multi functional - after all the strap can be worn as a necklace or bracelet and the 8ct centre piece diamond can be worn as a brooch! Stuff feeding the kids and paying the mortgage - I want one! And the shoes and the dress and a smack around the head for having no taste!

Actually I'm ashamed to say it, it's a really pretty bag!

I do rather like it. And don't worry about the price. You'll be able to pick up a copy in the market for a tenner next week.

It was on loose Women the other day and it's just about bigger than a mobile phone... when used as a necklace the handle looks quite plain too... hmm... I'm not sure... i suppose if you had the right shoes and were going to the right party... but it'd be one of those one-night things to make a statment? hmm... nah not for me! :D
