Alive in 20th C? - Yes
Politician? - No
Royalty? - No
Scientist? - No
Entertainer? - Yes
Writer? - No - although he did claim to write things, he never actually did.......
Inventor? - No
Did you die before 1950? - No.
Were you a theatre/stage entertainer? - Yes
Were you a TV entertainer? - Yes - but not in the 'I have a show' sense....
Were you an actor? - Yes
Were you a comedian? - Hmmm... was best known for comedy films.
Did you die before 1990? - Sadly, yes.
Were you British? - Oh, yes!
The more people I meet, the more I like my garden :wink:

I was lucky enough to be living in Deal when he lived there - ok, the man was a raving alkie, but actually, he WAS friendly AND funny - a lot of negative things written about him, but he was a really nice guy!!
