The first of the raspberrys for us today, and more eggs than I can shake a stick at.

2.9kg of blackcurrants and I haven't finished last year's frozen ones yet or the cordial.
I made blackcurrant ice cream and it was very nice - soooooooooo different from bought ice cream with fake horrible smell and taste.

My 3-year old found herself her first handful of strawberries yesterday. I was surprised to see her coming into the house with them - they usually get scoffed in the garden. I think the mice have eaten the rest, though

Picked 4 kg of gooseberries from 3 bushes today.
3 kg are being bottled by OH as I type, even though it's her birthday today, but then I am cooking dinner tonight.
The other kilo I will make jam with tomorrow, as I plan a day in the kitchen breadmaking, because
rain is forecast.

Finally got around to using up last years frozen logenberries. Made several jars of jam. Need the space in the freezer for any glut this year.

This is today's harvest of strawberries. We may be amateurs at gardening, but we sure can grow strawberries! We're actually starting to run out of containers to freeze them in. Last year, we froze enough to last all winter.

My early strawbs are coming to an end and the rasps have started now. There are gazillions of cherries this year.

Finished picking my blackcurrants all 4.7kg in the freezer (not bad for 2 bushes!) and today I start on the redcurrants.

I have been eating my own courgettes for 3 weeks, lots of lettuce, strawberries and elderflower cordial and fritters. Should pick first dwarf beans and runners in the next ten days. Herbs doing really well and I am very pleased with the speed my herb cuttings are striking.

Nice harvest of strawberries. Ours have just finished producing. But I cooked some with our rhubarb and froze it. I'll have strawberry-rhubarb spread for some months now.
I also harvested some catmint. I think they're done drying now. I may have to start giving some away. Not much else. Kinda a lull here, which is good. I've got other things that need to be done in the garden.
