Well, I think that congratulations to John are in order. Last night I went to bed with an easy mind, even though I'd noticed that the sub-main header wasn't centralised. This morning it was. So John either continued to work into the early hours or did it quite early this morning. In either case, well done, John. Now if only you can tell us why it was all necessary ...

1. to fit in with the redesign of the main site (coming soon'ish)
2. to ease people into the new forum software.
currently this forum is using version 2, rather than change the whole forum and the look at the same time, I decided to change the look now, so that it will be less of shock when we upgrade. version 3 will look the 98% same as the forum does today.

Yes, hear hear.
I don't mind change, I was just alarmed when it happened between going to a page and pressing refresh. It shifted in front of my eyes. Spooky.
Out of interest (not complaining, just curious) is there a reason why some topics are lighter blue and some are a darker blue on the 'view posts since last visit' page?

They're not weeds - that's a habitat for wildlife, don't you know?

That was a bit of a shock. I only have a 15in monitor (1024x768 max res) and when I popped in tonight, I thought my monitor preferences had gone screwy. Everything is absolutely huge and I can only read five or six lines at a time. Also, the top two bars take up half the screen space.
If I take set my browser to view the text at the smallest size, the images work and the text flows well, but it's tiny and an eye strain.
I suspect I'm definitely in a minority though—running a Mac, OS 10.4.11, Safari 3.0.4 or Firefox 2.0.0.14.
It's not useable for me like this, so I'll pop back in a few days and see how it shakes down.

You can see from the screengrab that I've had to scroll down to get five lines of text in. If I scroll up, the top two bars take up half the space.

I don't care chat it looks like so long as you're all still there and I don't require any plug-ins to use it; cos then when I'm relegated to the DS again I can still use the forum lol!
