Maybe we do - I very rarely go into a chippie's...

Expert on oatcakes, maybe!

No, if I have chips once a quarter (year, that is!), that'll do me nicely, thanks. And deepfried pineapple somehow doesn't quite rock my boat... :?

I've always liked those pineapple fritters you get in chinese restaurants!

Are they battered?

Actually, I can imagine they could taste quite nice, even battered, provided they are made properly, i.e. with a tasty batter, fried in clean oil (not with the taste of fish, haggis and goodness knows what else on them  ), drained off properly, so that the batter is crisp and not soggy, and the served, maybe, with some other fruit like cherries (which go very well with pineapple)... ANd NOT served with soggy chips, smothered in salt and vinegar! :pukeleft:

When i lived in york, there was a great chip shop just down the road that did pineapple fritters, and banana fritters.
Gorgeous they were!

Yes to the battered (that's what a fritter is, isn't it?) and I've never had one that tasted of haggis before  , and as for served with chips ..... :pukeright:

Actually come to think of it, I'm talking boll*cks, it's the crispy banana fritters that I like, not the tinned pineapple ones!

i thought they had changed their minds on the chocolate thing due to an out cry from the vegan/vegetarian community.
