What's in a name?

I gave my kids unusual names (wont put them here for id purposes) confident that they couldn't be shortened - which mattered not a jot when they became known in the family as bossy, widdle and puke - reasons self evident

Do you still call them that?

My sis has nephews called Scott, Jamie and Andrew and when my daughter was wee she went to visit their granda with my sis. She saw a photo of the boys and asked - "is that Snott, Dribbly and Whamspew?"

And then there's always my OHs friend from school Michael Hunt, who's name was shortened to Mike!
