101 things to do instead of watching television

101 Uses For is popular and let's hope it stays that way. Our second book is presently called 101 tips for self sufficiency; we will certainly dip into this section for ideas. So post away and let's try and get at least one thread up to 101.

Good luck Martina and well done for going 'back to school' - I couldn't do it in a million years so I bow to anyone who decides to do further education like that! I'd like to learn linguistics though as it is a fascinating subject. :salute:

And good luck to you too Jampot. :thumbright:

MMM,
you don't need to go back to school to learn something new and anyway life itself (especially self-sufficientish life is an education every day

We do have a TV, but mostly we use it to play back the videos we tape of programmes we're to busy to watch.

but our list is more like

1. Put the Kids to bed
2. Put the chickens to Bed
3. Put the kids back to bed :banghead:
4. make a cuppa tea
5. put the kids back to bed :banghead:
6. reheat said cuppa
7. Wife scapbooks, makes cards, knits whichever takes her fancy
8. Read a book till its time to put the kids back to bed :banghead:

children a such wonderful things are they NOT
Our remote ancestors said to their mother Earth, "We are yours."
Modern humanity has said to Nature, "You are mine."
The Green Man has returned as the living face of the whole earth so that through his mouth we may say to the universe, "We are one."

No idea what number we're up to so I'll follow on from homegrown

9 Watch the radio - really - reception up here is poor and so we have to listen to it via the sky box. My mother watches it avidly
