If you've only got long circular needles you can actually knit 2 socks at once on one set of circulars. Takes a bit of getting used to, but once you get the knack it's brilliant. yes that is true, you could do that but I would surely NOT recommend this to a beginner...........they would never dare to touch circulars the rest of their lives anymore...............
on 5 dpn's is the easiest to do, easiest on the hands too, instead of on 4 dpns.
I prefer the dpns myself....
The way I meant to do socks on circulars is just a very short circular and one sock on it so you would not have to worry about needles and such.
