You all seem to be such proficient chefs. Well here is a place to share some of that cooking knowledge. Or do you have a cooking problem? Ask away. Jams and chutneys go here too.

So, pagans all - would I be correct in assuming that, for convenience, Beltane celebrations are to be held this weekend rather than 1st May? Otherwise I'm going to make a complete di****ad of myself when I appear as the Green Man at the family barbie! Please reply quickly to avoid potential red face.

Redface, never a good look when you're dressed as the Greenman!
It depends on the group really. Mine celebrated last weekend, I guess some will celebrate this weekend, and others last night and today. Of course, I'm still ill so missed last weekend and didn't feel up to it last night. So maybe this weekend for me! Generally speaking though, its best to get it in before the actual day if on the day is inconvenient!

I know that most of the groups celebrating at Avebury(my stomping ground) will be there this weekend(for convenience sake)some travel a long way to get there, and can't get time off work etc.....So a loooong bank holiday is ideal(if you don't mind sleeping in a field  )
