I visited Woolworth's Johnstone, this morning, as part of my local shop trend within ZWP. An idea for greater turnover was to have a coffee shop as the shop is bang centre of town. It could work. The reason for the trip was to buy 2 freezer boxes to replace the plastic bags previously used for fish/meat.
The staff seemed upbeat about the store's future and I think local people will support it.

My Grandad could never walk past woolies without popping in, and coming out with a ball of string or something like that!
My earliest memory of woolworths was one in Buckingham, which had a deli counter in the middle of it!
What a shame it has really gone downhill, and doesn't seem to have anything that people want these days!
