nope - those are last year's dead flowers. - the bush is going.. so i have not been quick off the mark at dead-heading. Actually the whole flower garden is being a bit ignored at the mo for the sake of veggies...
It still looks very good in the photo! (I suppose I can't see the weeds :mrgreen: )

I'm lucky as the garden we took over when we moved here is very well stocked.. so there is not much room for weeds.... but they are sneaking in. must spend some time on it before it gets out of hand.

Just seen this link, Wow! I am definitely going to have a go at some of those, I would just love to have a whole party of tree people on my lawn.
It could solve what to do for a crop for this place - we have an abundance of self seeded tree lucerne seedlings, they don't like water, are flexible when green and create a hard wood when try. Off to read up on how to do it. :cheers:
