well clearly they are trying to attract you to things you don't buy usually.
When I used to go to Tescos I did it like this - went around with my list, buying what I need, get to checkout, only then do I pull out my bundle of vouchers.. and if by chance I have bought anything that there is voucher for, then great.
They always sent me vouchers for fresh meat, as I never bought any there (bought from butchers) so always trying to tempt me. and Always the vouchers go out of date and into the recycling.
