Oh, I do have fun - usually when up to the knees in stinking mud with curious pigs sticking their snouts up into my crotch - hard! :mrgreen:

But, yes, it is serious when you have be sure that your vegetables are going to last you the best part of a year and there isn't the money to buy more if the crop should fail, the stored ones should rot, the rabbits/birds/two-legged thieves make off with it etc.

It also means no time off unless you're dead - and even then you'll still be put to work as compost to help grow the next crop... :mrgreen:
