Our neighbour has SEVEN cats, and they are all of the opinion that it is worth scaling our 8ft fence to poo on our vegetables rather than using one of the other more accessible gardens

Hi all, as far as i understand it, cats like to have a designated toilet area and once they have worked out where that area is they'll go there rather than anywhere else. They like somewhere nice and clean and peaceful (sounds fair enough to me!), and its possible that the arrangments at home are not up to scratch!
Perhaps as well as persuading them that your nice vegetable patch is NOT the place to go (using water sprays, orange peel, spiky things, lion sh*t, or whatever) you could also try creating an area that is more appealing for them to use? If you used an actual litter tray you could then move it nearer and nearer their own garden once they'd got the hang of using it! Ok, so it does mean you'd be clearing up after someone else's cat, but hey, you're having to do that already!

If only we could invent an ish-y use for cat crap, we'd be millionaires!
