I would just like to boast and show off my sweet potato growing! It has taken a long time to sprout altho the roots grew quite quickly. I shall be planting it out today. Well chuffed

All of the chunks of sweet potato I planted have sprouted - how cool is that? Im now planting them outside. Im assuming the sweet potatoes will grow underground like normal potatoes, is that right? When will they be ready for harvesting?

I planted the one out thats in the photo, thats the biggest so far, and its taken just fine and has prob doubled in size since planting. The weather is not so good at the moment altho it is still warm, its raining a lot. My trouble is going to be the heavy, clay soil so I might put them into tyres when ive dug up my potatoes. Dont want anything to get in the way of my sweet pots!!
