It is permanent, so more often or not I just retouch the roots and do an occasional all over covering. As Mrs F says henna really doesn't react well if you've got chemically dyed hair - best wait for it to grow out. If you stopped dyeing yours two years ago it will be fine to use henna now Milims. In terms of colour, it depends on your hair colour and also how much grey you've got - my grey bits come out golden so it looks like I've got sunkissed highlights which is nice. I think that's another big bonus when using henna - it doesn't make your hair look like one big block of colour.
Ease of use, grate blocks, pour on hot water, mix, put on hair, leave on a few hours, wash off shampoo.
How many blocks you use depends on the length and thickness of your hair - I can get away with two and you get six in bar so it works out cheaper than a chemical dye.

Re: What I thought of Lush
I really don't like Lush at all. I've only ever been in there once, at the insistence of a friend I was with at the time. The smell was horrendously overpowering-though to be fair, from what I could tell, the scents they use are all plant based. Its just so much of it in one place is too much for me!
That said, they do use a lot of SLS/SLES in their products, and when we were assailed by the sales assistant (who kept attempting to liberally coat us in various products) I asked why they used SLS when they're meant to be 'green'. Her reply (which I assume to be their standard reply) was that its necessary for the foaming etc (because, apparently, its the bubbles that do all the work
) and that it was 'natural SLS' anyway. Which I'm pretty sure was a lie...

Harm None!
