here's what we use...

This photo was taken just this afternoon of the boys on the twa man saw. Then we use an axe. Takes us 45 minutes in the woods with bow saw and hatchet to fill a small trailer full which lasts a week or more. Plus half an hour a day sawing & chopping. Need one of these log bombs. They sound great!

It's just that if this thread continues it'll be practically impossible to read any text because you have to scroll along to read each line!

I love the saw. I've been trying to persuade the Other Half to take the other end of one, but she's not keen. So I just stick with the bow saw and wait for the boys to grow a little taller.

Thanks for more replies.

I think we've actually got a saw like that in our shed somewhere but I've no idea what state the teeth are in. I suppose I should dig it out and have a look.

Unless you are splitting logs commercially I cannot see the attraction of electric or hydraulic log splitters. Do you not have a wife & an axe?

TABLET.......SOME WOOD SPLITTERS CAN WORK FORWARD AND REVERSE.AS YOU SPLIT ONE GOING FORWARD,YOU FEED THE OTHER END AND THEN AS YOU BACK OFF THE FIRST LOG.YOU START SPLITTING THE SECOND.DUAL ACTION MAKES IT SOME WHAT FASTER.
